Manager, Software Engineering Summary:

Working as an Engineering Manager at Delinea means being a part of a highly capable, collaborative, and agile development team. Delinea is creating awesome software that's used by thousands of IT professionals all over the globe.

Reports to a Director of Engineering.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage a Delinea sprint team
  • Collaborate with other managers and product managers
  • Work specifically on products related to cloud-hosted and on-premises applications
  • Contribute to the design and architecture
  • People management as well as project management
  • Work closely with architecture and staff level engineers to design, prototype, and build new features
  • Make team progress visible via dashboards

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 years+ experience running an Agile sprint team
  • 5 years+ experience as a software engineer
  • Team mentality. What is best for the business and not necessarily for you personally or your team individually
  • Experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and web application technologies
  • Full software development lifecycle experience is required
  • Expert-level interpersonal skills
  • 2 years+ experience in building distributed applications that scale
  • Experience working with large volumes of data
  • Experience leveraging APIs and Web Services such as REST and gRPC
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented principles
  • Experience with developing, leveraging, and hosting SaaS and/or cloud-based applications.
  • Experience with and the ability to teach others how to deal with large codebases
  • Solid experience with unit and automated testing
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Prove ability to get projects over the finish line
  • Experience costing stories and the ability to teach others such that carry-over is minimal
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS)
  • Never be satisfied with mediocrity

We'd Love to See:

  • Ability to look at the big picture, come up with great new ideas, and execute those ideas by influencing product management and your team to prioritize and implement them
  • Passionate about your team writing quality code
  • Experience with ML and analysis of large data sets
  • Experience with DevOps practices (e.g. continuous integration, continuous deployment)
  • A good understanding of security best practices in software development.
  • A strong desire to simplify complex issues
  • A good understanding of metrics as related to the effectiveness and quality of the team’s output
