This data is then used to help farmers and food producers optimize their crop yields, improve crop quality, and enhance overall ecosystem health. With BeeHero’s technology, farmers gain deep insights into the complex world of pollination and can make more informed decisions about how to manage their land and resources.

Responsibilities

‍We are hiring a Key Account Manager to expand the BeeHero Precision Pollination services to growers throughout the Pacific Northwest. The Key Account Manager will develop new and maintain existing businesses.

  • Build and maintain relationships with growers in the designated territory; meet sales and profitability targets.
  • Educate growers about our agricultural technology solutions and provide ongoing support to existing clients.
  • Contact prospective customers via telephone, email, and in-person meetings to introduce our products and services.
  • Utilize in-depth product knowledge to demonstrate our solutions' value to prospects effectively.
  • Use CRM and SalesForce software to manage and track sales activities, including prospecting, pipeline management, and onboarding new clients.
  • Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and community gatherings to expand our presence in the agricultural community.
  • Up to 40% travel

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in Apple, Cherry, and Pear agriculture practices, with a strong understanding of industry trends and practices.
  • Minimum of two years of field sales experience, in the agricultural sector.
  • Experience in roles such as PCA, fertilizer sales, or nursery tree sales is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Valid state driver's license and willingness to travel within the designated territory.
  • Proficiency with new technology and the ability to quickly learn and utilize CRM and SalesForce software.
  • Strong communication skills and negotiation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ag PCA license, agronomist, or similar certification demonstrating expertise in agricultural practices.

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Agricultural Studies, Crop Science, or Agribusiness.

Prior experience owning, managing, or working on an Apple, Cherry, and Pear or other specialty crop farm, providing firsthand knowledge of grower challenges and needs.

Preferred location: Yakima Valley

Salary Range for PNW-based applicants: $80,000-$110,000 + commission + bonus (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
