About this role
Blink Ops is seeking a Sales Engineer with deep expertise in Security Operations, particularly with SIEM, SOAR, and other SOC platforms. In this role, you’ll engage directly with Fortune 500 SOC experts, demonstrating Blink’s automation platform, handling technical objections, and highlighting the value of our solutions. You’ll play a crucial role in the sales process, from discovery and solution design to demos and Proofs of Concept (POCs), ensuring customers fully realize the potential of automation in their security operations.
Your responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with SOC leaders, CISOs, and security teams to understand their challenges and show how Blink’s platform optimizes security operations.
- Lead product demos and POCs tailored to customer needs, showcasing Blink’s integration capabilities with existing SIEM, SOAR, and SOC platforms.
- Use your expertise to address objections from seasoned SOC professionals, demonstrating how Blink enhances their current tools.
- Work with customers to design security automation solutions that meet their needs, informed by your hands-on experience in SOC environments.
- Lead discussions on the role of automation in modernizing SOCs, driving efficiency, and improving threat detection and response.
- Collaborate with Blink’s sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure solutions align with product capabilities and customer expectations.
- Use your Security Operations background to build trust with customers, engaging in technical and strategic discussions that position Blink as a trusted partner.
Requirements
Requirements and Skills
- Self-motivated with “whatever it takes” attitude and demonstrable experience to drive and influence decision making among prospects and customers
- 5+ years in SOC roles, with deep knowledge of SIEM (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), SOAR (e.g., Phantom, Demisto), and other SOC tools. You understand SOC challenges and speak their language.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, threat intelligence, incident response, and automation tools. Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
- While direct sales engineering experience is a plus, we value candidates who have engaged with senior management, proposed strategic initiatives, and influenced technology decisions within an enterprise SOC setting. Customer-facing experience is preferred.
- Proven success in leading technical engagements, demonstrating complex solutions, and managing POCs with enterprise customers. You align technical solutions with business objectives.
