Position Overview:
Reporting to an Account Executive, the SDR plays a pivotal role within our sales team, responsible for supporting our Account Executives in identifying and nurturing key relationships with potential high-value clients in an outbound motion. This role demands a combination of strategic thinking, sales acumen, and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities & Contributions:
- Account Identification & Research: Identify potential strategic account prospects through in-depth market research and analysis. Understand the needs, challenges, and opportunities of these accounts to uncover and share key insights that directly lead to sales opportunities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape shifts, and market changes. Leverage this up-to-date knowledge to refine strategies and approaches for new business development, ensuring that our engagement with strategic accounts remains relevant, informed, and effective.
- Develop and implement effective strategies for generating leads through warm & cold outreach, specifically targeting high-value accounts. Maintain an up-to-date database of all strategic account prospects, ensuring it serves as a reliable resource for sales, partnerships, and marketing teams. This database should facilitate coordinated actions and consistent messaging. Additionally, proactively input detailed information into the CRM system, providing all relevant stakeholders with essential intelligence for strategic decision-making.
- Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to develop tailored proposals and solutions for strategic account prospects. Ensure alignment with the overall sales strategy and goals. Play a pivotal role in empowering Account Executives to prioritize and successfully close more deals by establishing robust access, authority, and influence within targeted strategic accounts.
- Assist in creating compelling sales materials that effectively communicate the value proposition to strategic accounts.
- Pipeline Management: Manage and maintain a healthy pipeline of potential prospects - both within new businesses and existing strategic accounts. Track and report on progress with regular updates to sales leadership.
- Customer Feedback: Gather customer feedback to understand their needs better and relay this information to product development and marketing teams.
- Facilitate the technical evaluation of BRIA's platform by strategic accounts, ensuring the involvement of solutioning team representatives as necessary to aid in a comprehensive and successful assessment of the platform
- Proactively provide strategic accounts with all necessary information and documentation to streamline the procurement process and facilitate effective contract negotiations. This responsibility involves ensuring that these teams have easy access to essential materials, thereby enabling a smooth and efficient path to successful procurement and legal agreements.
- Take charge of organizing and scheduling appointments, as well as facilitating discovery calls between Account Executive, potential clients, and the solutioning team. This crucial coordination is aimed at advancing opportunities through each stage of the sales process, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration among all parties involved. Obtaining meetings with a strategic account will be the primary success metric.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with sales techniques and industry knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 1-2 years of proven experience in sales, particularly in a B2B environment.
- Excellent written & verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and leverage data in sales strategies.
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wide team.
- A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
