About the Role

We’re looking for an outstanding Country Manager to lead Classiq’s growth in Italy and support our broader expansion across Europe. This is a unique opportunity to anchor Classiq’s presence in a strategic market and help shape the future of quantum computing across the continent.

Responsibilities

As Country Manager – Italy & European Expansion, you will lead all aspects of Classiq’s activity in Italy while helping coordinate and accelerate expansion efforts across EU and European markets. This includes:

  • Driving commercial growth through direct sales and partnerships.
  • Building a strong local ecosystem presence aligned with Italy’s national quantum initiatives.
  • Supporting EU grant initiatives and positioning Classiq within key research consortia.
  • Helping define Classiq’s regional strategy and leading engagement in select European markets.

You will initially operate independently, with the potential to grow a regional team.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Lead Classiq’s go-to-market strategy in Italy and selected European markets.
  • Engage enterprise clients, research institutions, and government stakeholders across Europe.
  • Drive revenue growth through high-value sales, strategic partnerships, and grant-funded programs.
  • Collaborate with HQ on identifying target sectors and opportunities across Europe.

Ecosystem Engagement

  • Represent Classiq in European quantum forums, national programs, and consortia.
  • Develop relationships with HPC centers (e.g., CINECA) and academic institutions across Europe.
  • Contribute to pan-European positioning efforts, including events, thought leadership, and EU-funded collaborations.

Regional Leadership

  • Establish Italy as a key hub for Classiq’s European operations.
  • Collaborate on resource planning and potential team development across the region.
  • Align Classiq’s technical, marketing, and business functions with regional goals.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in enterprise technology sales, business development, or strategic partnerships.
  • Pan-European exposure, with strong knowledge of Italian and EU tech, research, and public sectors.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and work with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with European funding frameworks (Horizon, EuroHPC, Digital Europe) is a plus.
  • Italian and English fluency required; additional European languages a plus.
