Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision and Strategy
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with company objectives.
- Act as the main point of contact between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on product goals.
- Write and maintain detailed Product Requirements Documents to communicate the vision, objectives, and functional requirements of new products or features to the development team and other stakeholders.
- Backlog Management:
- Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is transparent, visible, and understood by all stakeholders.
- Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to deliver high-quality products on time.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Customer Focus:
- Conduct market research and gather feedback from customers and stakeholders to inform product decisions.
- Act as the voice of the customer within the company, ensuring their needs are central to the product development process.
- Performance Tracking
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
- Analyze data to make informed decisions and identify areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders on product status, milestones, and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure alignment between the product team and other departments.
Expertise, Qualifications and Skills
- Education and Experience
- Advantage- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a SaaS company. Ideally in the HR industry.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI and machine learning technologies.
- Experience in the HR tech industry or familiarity with HR processes and tools.
- Skills and Competencies:
- The ideal candidate must thrive in a dynamic environment, embracing continuous experimentation, iterating on solutions as our product evolves.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize a product backlog.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
- Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
