Your mission

We’re seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) based in Germany, who will serve as the lead technical point of contact for providing expert customer service, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and emergency response for advanced equipment and systems installed at client sites. This position combines technical expertise with project leadership skills to deliver an exceptional service experience.

  • Lead onsite troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Direct and manage Technical service development from beginning to end, including SOP's, KPI's and manuals.
  • Managing and updating technical documentation in areas of expertise.
  • Thoroughly document all service procedures, parts replacements, diagnostics, error codes, fixes, and site observations in customer files.
  • Advise clients on equipment care best practices and help develop customized maintenance plans.
  • Assist in testing new products, solutions, and product enhancements and provide feedback to engineering teams.
  • Develop and lead a team of service technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ongoing transfer of information and training to other service technicians.
  • Coordinating service tasks with customers.
  • Organizing and maintaining orderly spare parts inventory.
  • Ongoing direct contact supplier’s technical team abroad.
  • Implementing and overseeing quality assurance protocols.
  • Reporting of quality complaints and safety reports.
Your profile
  • Engineering degree (in Electronics/ Mechanics preferred).
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in medical or similar field service.
  • Proven leadership experience in a technical and managerial capacity.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience with systems involving electronics, precision mechanics.
  • Valid driver’s license - required.
  • Computer literacy - hardware and networking.
  • Networking and telecoms experience - significant advantage.
  • Extensive domestic travel and overseas required (approx. 70%).
  • Ability to work independently onsite with clients.
  • Ability to work extended and irregular hours.

NVision is developing fast, robust and easy-to-use hyperpolarization technology for preclinical and clinical research in our Polaris product line. Those devices are placed close to an MRI scanner in a clinical environment or a research lab to produce hyperpolarized contrast agents on demand. The hyperpolarized solution is prepared in a fast, fully-automated, multi-step process including chemical reactions, polarization transfer and several purification steps. We develop our commercial products in close collaboration with a
product development partner, while the process development as well as the design of test setups and prototypes is done in-house.
