Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

In support of Stripe’s goal to build a flexible, customizable and extensible multi-product platform, Stripe needs a Partner Program that encompasses scaled partner efforts across multiple partner types using a common set of commercial models, tools and processes. The partner portal provides a way to engage partners - including systems integrators, payment method partners, app developers and more - in a largely self-serve way.

What you’ll do

As the Product Owner for the Partner Portal, you will champion the needs of our partners - both mature and emerging - to provide an exceptional experience with Stripe. The role will sit within our Global Partnerships organization and develop Stripe’s portal strategy in close collaboration with our stakeholders across Stripe teams supporting various partner types. You will build out personas and partner journeys to inform functional requirements and be accountable for the overall quality and impact of the portal. You will partner with internal Stripe engineering and external partners to develop and launch features quickly, while establishing frameworks that will enable us to continue to scale.

Responsibilities

  • Develop portal product strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders representing Stripe partner types (e.g. Local Payment Methods, Systems Integrators, Distribution Partners, etc)
  • In collaboration with Engineering, build an extensible partner platform that will enable us to scale and quickly launch support for new partner types as our ecosystem grows
  • Deeply understand the various personas Stripe’s Partner Ecosystem supports by engaging with partners to address their priorities and help them achieve their desired outcomes with Stripe
  • Form and promote a point-of-view on how our tooling should support partners in a cohesive and extensive way (i.e. rather than an order-taker, be opinionated about how we support program requirements through the portal)
  • In collaboration with stakeholders, establish and commit to a set of KPIs that reflect our target outcomes and drive initiatives with measurable impact
  • Participate in weekly/daily syncs with developers to deliver against the roadmap, address technical questions, prioritize bug fixes, and groom the backlog
  • Ensure high quality launches by adhering to Stripe launch requirements and looking for continuous improvements and feedback loops

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years Product Management experience defining product strategy, defining the user experience, managing business and technical trade offs, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer/partner problems
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders often with competing priorities
  • Demonstrated success building relationships and confidence with stakeholders

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience supporting a partner ecosystem and developing and managing a partner portal or other partner tooling is a plus
  • Must be able to adapt quickly to changing business needs and define priorities with little guidance
  • Technical aptitude for problem solving and ability to understand technical challenges
  • Innate curiosity and eagerness to learn
  • A desire for continuous product improvement and can optimize for shipping a portfolio of small, medium, and large releases
  • An ownership mindset and works on whatever it takes to solve problems and delight partners
  • Ability to put themselves in the shoes of partners and be a steward of crafting great experiences
  • Can dig deep into the data, think from first principles, and deliver the right results
  • Able to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $198,200 - $297,400. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
