About the team
At Stripe, product development is an extremely collaborative effort between engineering, design, analytics, partnerships, legal, risk and go-to-market teams. You’d be joining a group of experienced Product Managers who have a track record of successfully building large-scale business and products that are collectively impacting millions of users around the world.
In Asia Pacific, the team is responsible for ensuring all of Stripe’s products across payments, revenue and financial automation, banking as a service, etc. best fit the unique needs of each country, expanding and innovating on the platform in markets throughout the region.
We are looking for a Product Lead who’s passionate about solving complex problems to advance the payments landscape, especially in support of our users’ ambitious and innovative business models. This role will help build new payment methods & flows and also improve our payments experience (marketing, local data requirements, taxes, payout timings etc). You’ll get to work with central engineering teams both in the region in APAC as well as across our other global offices to build delightful features that span various parts of the system, as well as working with our business, sales and operations teams to understand and solve our users’ pain points.

- Be a well-rounded product leader -- someone who has both excellent product design/UX sense and strengths in market dynamics and business strategy
- Set the long-term product strategy for our products and platforms in your key markets
- Be accountable for users, partners, regulators, and Stripe’s business performance in the region by collaborating with many stakeholder and partner teams across the company
- Be an evangelist for your product movement across the company

Minimum requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product management
- Experience in the payments industry especially or other fintech domains
- Experience and deep familiarity with the Australia and New Zealand markets, customer needs and ecosystem
- Built products by collaborating across engineering, analytics, marketing, design and other key stakeholders
- Approached product management from a user’s vantage point and is motivated by the chance to improve the lives of customers
- Strategic vision of where the APAC region is heading, and where technology and financial services fit into that puzzle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a precise talent for articulating customer challenges and ability to influence broadly across teams and with senior company leadership
- Experience managing technical software products from kick-off to ship
- Proven ability to drive or influence commercialization and partnership strategies to impact business growth beyond building products
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is A$211,100 - A$298,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
