About the team
Stripe Data Services team is responsible for building data integrations with ERP/CRM systems, importing external data into Stripe, and sending Stripe data and reports to multiple data storage destinations. The team handles complex integrations with major enterprise systems like NetSuite, Snowflake, Redshift, Amazon S3, GCS, Azure and more, thereby enabling customers to close their books faster and unlock richer business insights. The team is composed of domain experts building large scale data pipelines moving terabytes of data. We are seeking an engineering manager who is passionate about creating innovative, user-centric products by leveraging cutting-edge technologies in data storage and optimization.

As an Engineering Manager you define a vision and strategy for your area, enable engineers to do the best work of their careers, and ensure your team delivers outstanding results in both technology and business outcomes. You’ll obsess over talent and be an active partner to recruiters to ensure your team is staffed with the people it needs to accomplish its goals.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of talented engineers and product managers to solve data pipeline growth and operations
- Drive the roadmap and priorities for your team, and work with dependencies across the company
- Lead an engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence and stability
- Be deeply involved in new product and market launches
- Ensure the team does its best work and interfaces effectively with the rest of Stripe
- Recruit, coach and develop engineers
- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team

Minimum requirements
- At least 4 years of engineering management experience and 10 years of overall experience in the industry
- Successfully led high-complexity teams, working in parallel on multiple high-impact areas
- Work very well cross-functionally, and are able to think rigorously and make hard decisions and tradeoffs
- Thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility
- Encourage a healthy work environment that’s both supportive and challenging
- Strong technical background and hands-on experience in solving large scale and difficult technical problems
Preferred qualifications
- Proven experience in driving product enhancements for mission-critical, highly reliable systems and data pipelines
- Experience working with enterprise SaaS customers
- Expertise in designing and implementing systems that efficiently manage large-scale data operations
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is C$213,600 - C$320,400. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
